Acceptance

By downloading or using LocatAlert (the “app”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

What LocatAlert does

LocatAlert lets you set location-based alarms and reminders, and send place-based requests to people you connect with. Some features require an account and location permission.

Reliability — please read

LocatAlert is a convenience tool. Location alarms depend on your device’s GPS, network, battery, permissions, and operating-system limits (for example, battery optimization or Do-Not-Disturb settings). While we work hard to make alarms fire reliably, we cannot guarantee that every alarm will trigger in every condition. Do not rely on LocatAlert as your sole method for safety-critical wake-ups or situations where a missed alarm could cause harm.

Your account and conduct

• You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
• Only send requests to, and share locations with, people who have agreed to connect with you.
• Don’t use the app to harass, track, or surveil anyone without their knowledge and consent, or for any unlawful purpose.

Subscriptions and billing

LocatAlert offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription, LocatAlert Pro. Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. A one-time “lifetime” purchase grants access for as long as the app remains reasonably available.

Intellectual property

The app, its content, and branding are owned by Acefina LLC and its licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app under these Terms.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will always fire.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acefina LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a missed or delayed alarm or reminder. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we’ll update the effective date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Acefina LLC’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions: support@locatalert.com.
